    Block a game on mobile data while leaving it working at home. Android used to let you do this per app; most phones dropped it after Android 11. No other parental control app brings it back.

    What your own phone can and can't do — it varies by manufacturer, and some of them still manage it for free.

  • No account, and nothing we can read

    Every other app in this category installs an agent that ships your child's activity to a company — Google Family Link included, where the company is Google and the child needs an account with them. Safeleaf doesn't. The rules, the usage figures and the audit log stay on your two phones. Anything we ever pass between two parents is sealed so that we can't open it — and nothing we run can unlock your child's phone. Check the Data Safety card when it launches: it's empty, and that isn't an oversight.

  • Unlocks work with no internet at all

    Give your child fifteen minutes of something by showing a QR code they scan — or by reading a ten-digit code down the phone when you're nowhere near each other. Neither needs a signal on either phone.

  • Both parents, equal powers

    Safeleaf trusts a roster of parents, not one account holder. Either can change the rules or grant an unlock, and the phone records which of them did what. Built for families across two households.

  • Calls and messages always work

    The allowlist can't be revoked — not by a rule, not by a mistake, not by a bad unlock code. Your child can always reach you.

Before you get excited: setting it up means factory-resetting the phone.

Android only allows controls this strong to be installed on a fresh device, at the setup wizard. That one-off cost is exactly what buys something a teenager can't uninstall, force-stop or work around — but it is a real cost, and we'd rather you knew now than after paying.

Your child will also know it's there. Android shows a "managed by your organisation" notice and we can't hide it. This is a tool for an arrangement you've made with your child, not a way to watch them secretly.
